Catcher In The
Rye. (unfinished) J.D. Sallinger.
Summary: I had been waiting
a long time to read this book, mainly because I needed a copy for my e-book, or
maybe even my iPad. One of my friends managed to get it changed into a PDF
file, so instantly I began to read it.
I think over all, you will
either bloody adore this book or absolutely hate it and my over all
opinion, is that I find it frustratingly boring. It strikes me as odd as there
is a large success around it and I would love to know some one who does enjoy
the book.
Divergent (Finished.) - Veronica Roth
Summary: I had made a
promise whilst watching the trailer, that I would read the Divergent series and
so finally I did. I for one personally didn’t understand the obsession with
Divergent, I’m struggling a lot to see why there has been such a large
admiration towards the book.
However, one of the things
I absolutely f**king loved about this book is Tris. Her character is so
fascinating and beautifully different, and on entering Dauntless, it continues
to strengthen and I thought it was brilliant. I love her, she is certainly on
my list of favourite characters.
However, I don’t think I
will continue onto the second and third book.
The Other Side
Of Paradise (Unfinished.) By F.
Scott Fitzgerald.
This had been in my kindle
for the longest time and I hadn’t read it yet last night, my curiosity grew. I
am already a fan of Fitzgerald, as The Great Gatsby, struck me like lightening.
However in this particular
novel, he spends too much time pondering in why the book is how it is, rather
then just discussing the actual story. It bored me almost immediately and by
then I was a good 20% in the novel.
For any one curious, I am currently
reading Naomi’s Room which a is horror/crime/thriller.
